Literature Text

To every broken heart in here,
A toast!
To the cast-offs,
Our Hopes
Our Fears.

Hearts have fallen,
Where angels fear to tread,
On this battlefield of passion,
Our Dying
Our Dead.

Now the war is won and lost,
The deathly fog hangs in the air
The same old walls stand tall and fast,
Love conquers all,
Fear holds it back.

Minutes before,
Two souls dance solo,
Shining through this world war-torn,
They ne’er touch,
But dance till dawn.

When souls are spent,
The dance is done,
Bodies bruised and bent.

Sun rises on crimson fields,
Dancers dead yet one soul kneels
On the grave from which they came.
Stone’s last line,
“R.I.P. To love’s charade.”
Dark moods breed darker writing.

The rhyme scheme fell apart, the theme warped and twisted as i wrote it. In fact by the last lines its getting so disjointed...bah.
Its not meant to be enjoyed i think. So...

Endure.

Never noticed this one before. I have to say... wow. This really is rather good!!

I particuarly liked the lines;
"Love conquers all,
Fear holds it back."

The three line stanza however, rather bothers me. Not too sure why. It just doesn't seem to... fit somehow?

Anyway... enough of my ramblings, go make me some tea monkey boy!
